This could be either a sensor or a wiring issue, You need to check the wiring that runs from the sensor to the electronics, the wires can break inside the plastic sleeve and cause the electronics to think there is a sensor fault, It could be a sensor fault but i usually find a broken wire in these machines.
The Chilton/Haynes repair manual we got for our 2004 Trailblazer has a fuel diagram. So I believe the same type manual for your Colorado should be no different as to information. Did find in research that there are plastic parts on the fuel lines that run under the air intake. Over time they become brittle due to engine heat since they are on top of engine but under the plastic air tube and are prone to leak over time. Not hard to fix, just a pain to remove the interfering parts.
The front anti vibration mount on the early machine was plastic, it was prone to breaking and the engine falling away, you should retro fit the metal pieces from the R version machine, part no, 537032301, and 537032401, it is fairly straight forward to re build and will not break away again once done.
If it is a TE12 and not a 12s you will have a metal external snap ring at the end of the chuck. Remove that and the metal dust slv will come off. There will be four screws holding the chuck sleeve on. Remove the plastic chuck sleeve and you will have the metal locking slv underneath it. There may be an oring in front of it. If so remove it. Push the locking sleeve in and remove the two elongated roller bearings. this will release the locking sleeve which is most of your chuck. If it is a 12s your front sleeve will be plastic. You almost have to break it to get it off. the rest is the same as te 12
Look at your power head motor. If you see a fiberglass looking sleeve on the shaft where the belt attaches to it, you need to remove that. You can slip it off, chip it off, or break it off piece by piece. You can usually use pliers and break it into pieced until you get it all off. It could also have a metal sleeve or a plastic or rubber sleeve on it. You will be able to tell if it has any sleeve on it. If it does remove what ever sleeve that it has. Tighten the brushroll pulley snugly tight. That should do it.
