I have a Samsung 50" UN50EH5300FXZA BJ04, I have sound but no picture. I bought a TV Repair Kit from Shop Jimmy and it did not fix it. When I put the main board in the power light would flash but no picture or sound so I installed the old main board and the other new boards then I had no picture but I had sound again. Any help will be appreciated.

You must check serial number on your TV. Some serial numbers begin with DS1, DS2, DS3, or DS4. Than match your boards. As of now...I don't believe you have the correct board. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV Repair, an authorized Philips Service Center.

What is the model number of the TV?

Check the backlight if you have backlight only two things will solve the issue . The Tcon board board need to be changed. The other would be to get another main board those tow parts I mentioned will solve your issue would try the tcon board first

It appears to be a case of backlight failure. since you have replaced all the boards, inverter is ruled out. Some of the LEDs in the backlight array may have gone bad. Fault is repairable, but needs care and experience of opening and repairing the LED panel. Good luck.

If it's an older movie it will not fill the screen . It was never meant to play on a wide screen TV so the only thing you can do is use the zoom and stretch features on your remote. You may not like the results.

The pcb with the volume + & - and ch + & - is faulty. The easiest and cheapest way to repair this is to take the back off your TV and just disconnect the plug and socket on this pcb. The remote will work the TV as usual. Hope this helps

call 877-543-8325 this is an LG Executive call center and they will fix this for free. I have a 50" plasma I bought january 2006 which is out of warranty by 5 months. They faxed me and the LG repair shop a 30 day warranty for my tv to cover the repair. Just tell them you heard a pop and in my case the picture is distorted. All they need is the model number and serial number and they should take care of it. No arguing needed.
