When you unload one amplifier you stand the chance of killing the amp's output transistor. If you must use only one speaker, you have to bridge the amps.

Theres a little switch next to where it says media in on your front panel just above the group sliders.This little button needs to be pressed down otherwise your cd won't come thru.

You can hook'em up utilizing the front low-level main outputs of your peavey684 to your headphone amp inputs, this should do the job satisfactorily.

That's easily done. Simply connect the left(or right) output of your mixer to one of the channels on the peavey. Use any line input. Since the peavey is a mono system, there's no need sending a stereo mix to it.

Generally speaking you should only send low frequencies to subs. The highs, while lower in power than the lows, will over time harm the voice coils. The ideal way to do this is to use an external crossover netween the main output and the amp input with the higher range going to a general set of speakers. Send the lows through the second channel of the amp and then to the subs.

In short, while not recommended, yes you can hook them up in parallel.

Sorry, but this unit does NOT support "bridged" mode. You will have to drive seperate speakers from the two seperate outputs. You would NOT get any more power if you could do bridged mode than you could with 4 ohm speakers on each of the two output channels.

Run proper cables from the main output of your mixer to the main inputs of your power amp.They will be 1/4"shielded cables or Balanced XLR cables. Do not use unshielded speaker cables to hook the mixer and the amp together.Run speaker cables from the speaker outputs of the amp to the input jacks of your speakers.Make sure the impedance of your speaker cabinets equals or exceeds the impedance rating marked on your amp. Banana plugs aren't as solid a connection as the binding posts are.

You CANNOT link the outputs of the amps. They need to drive seperate speakers.

You can tie the inputs together so they will send the same sound to their seperate speakers.

Max power for the Peavey 900 is 900 Watts RMS into a 4 ohm speaker in Bridge mode... That is enough to blow many speakers.

The speakers are 8 ohm so you can probably get near the 400 Watt per side when connected to this mixer. You don't need bridge mode to get this and I would recommend not using it anyway. Whatever you do make sure the speakers don't get disconnected when running at high volumes as you will arc out the amp in the mixer... I know this as I fix them... I have two PMP5000's that I repaired. Lots of work to repair...

The feedback is NOT the fault of the mixer or speakers but instead of something picking up sound from the speakers and sending back to the mixer.

The mic must be well in back of the speakers (say at least 10 feet) to avoid this or you need to use anti-feedback hardware to avoid the problem or highly directional close talking mics. Reverberation off walls can also get back to mics and cause problem. I was able to use a wireless Peavey mic which seemed to disrupt the phase enough to never get into an oscillation even when in front of the speakers.
