Sharp television not powering on - Sharp Televison & Video

From page 8 of the manual:

The POWER indicator on the AQUOS television should light GREEN indicating you have power to the AQUOS television.

If the POWER indicator on the AQUOS television still does not light up, press TV POWER on the remote control to turn the power on.

IMPORTANT:
IF THE UNIT DOES NOT POWER ON - UNPLUG THE AQUOS TELEVISION FROM THE OUTLET AND REPEAT THE INSTALLATION STEPS.

Jus guessing but is it really different form other power cords? You should look at any electric parts store orat some home depot.

Hi i have seen this before sharp hdtv's are known for having the internal power supply go faulty

Do you have a remote? If not, while it powered up press input button on the front of PN455. What do you see?

Check ur power source,unplug replug if not work,Ur tv power board ic inverter it dead needed to be change.

Check the internal fuses AFTER eliminating power supply, power strip, etc. But it sounds like it is in sleep mode. Try unplugging it, wait 5 minutes then power up while holding the power button in.

PROBABLE POWER SUPPLY OR CONTROL BOARD PROBLEM. TAKE TO AUTHORIZED SHARP SERVICER TO IDENTIFY WHICH BOARD. SOME POWER SUPPLY BOARDS CAN BE TROUBLE SHOT TO COMPONENT LEVEL.

I have same problem, In Caribean and repairs and new TVs are extra costly. Bringing power supply back with me to USA to see if I can buy a new one.
