How to reset zanussi jetsystem programme function board with error E40

hi there e40 fault could either be your door interlock or main pcb

e90 means there is a communication error between the circuit boards inside. remove the plug then take the lid off the machine, remove the block which has the 5 (iirc) blue wires in it and give it a quick squeeze then replace, this should hopefully solve your problem.

E40 is the fault code for the doorlock, these are relatively cheap and easy to fit and if an independent (non zanussi) engineer was to fit it, you will probably be looking at around £40-£50 all in as a rough guide.

ele means the pcb is in factory settings . all you need to do is turn back off the on again then will be back to normal use. but e41 usally means the door lock has failed. does it click alot when you start it up and not do anything? if so this will be the lock

E40 is code for the door being open. Try closing/slamming the door hard a few times
