I had the 7 red blink fault and on the advice of a repair shop replaced the sc board. Now I have sound but no picture or even any brightness on the screen?
SOURCE: TV Won't Turn On
I purchased the TV using AMX card 18 month ago. They have an extended 1 year warranty on top of manufactory's. I just have this set repaired: replaced SD board, total charge is $550. I already file a claim and hope to get reimbursed soon.

Did take the same model board from other TV ,some different tv model is not compatible with tv's they differ make and model , you need same model board in order to work on your tv..
Certainly, I can help you. I would recommend going to the following link and getting the service manual so he can see first hand disassembly instructions and testing proceedures. Its only 10.99 and they email it to you shortly after purchase. The manual is a valuable resource as it will have part numbers in case you do need a new KD board. heres the link.

SOURCE: The red light in front was blinking.the repair man
Original problem was, It started flashing 2 blinks at a time. Did a search. It stated 2 blinks was possibly the d board. I replaced the d board with a new one. Same results. Called a tech in, he found that it was the power supply. I replaced the power supply and turned on the tv. The power light started blinking 6 times. Checked the plugs and found that the plug going over to the sc,su sd board wasnt plug in tight. Fastened it good and turned tv back on. The power light stayed on. But now I have sound but no picture. The right side of the screen comes on but very dim and only stays on for a split second.

Hello,
Thanks for your question!
A 7 light SoS on a Panasonic Vera indicated that 3 seprate PCB printed circuit boards have failed there pre power consumption inline test. Allot of people call this the 7 lights of death because of the extensive repair job that would need to be done to fix the unit, the cost.
We however are not there to examine the TV from our POV but the 3 PCB boards in the unit would refer to your issue today. Cost of repair is upwards of $600 bucks out the door with a 90 day parts warranty.
So its basically up to you from this stand point, most people would just purchase another television at this point.
So what you got here is a power failure on 3 different boards inside the TV.
I hope this information is helpful to you,
