How do I fix a door code issue on a kitchenaid microwave

Doors for microwave ovens are usually replaced as a complete item.
I would ask the person who forgot to fix the door latches properly back to fix it properly.
If some of the clips were snapped off when removing the door panel, the panel must be replaced or it will fall out again.

It is a bad door switch, or the keypad control board is the issue.

I doubt that just tightening those screws would have caused this problem, but if so, I would loosen them a quarter turn first.

Instead, my bet is there is now an issue with the door switches or mounts.

To replace the door handle properly, normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

HI, this is an indication of a failed door switch. When the switch fails, the control cannot recognize the closed door signal. Simply replacing the door latch mechanism will solve this issue.
