Question about American Standard Home
Do I just need to go to local hardware store and get a new washer and bolt and replace?

Yes, those parts are a 'Standard' (excuse pun) part. Replace them both and the seal between the tank and bowl. Buy a small tube of silicone too. There are bound to be videos of how to replace. It is fairly straight forward. Don't overtighten the bolts, finger tight and a quarter turn.
