I no longer have fios, how do I change my Apple TV app to direct tv?

To switch the tv provider in iOS: open the settings app, then “TV Provider” there you can log out, and select what iOS apps have permission to access that provider login.

In Apple TV: Settings app, Accounts, then under ACCOUNTS select TV Provider.

For DIRECTV apps that you can download to iOS or tvOS make sure you get the right one. There is Directv app for controlling the satellite receiver and accessing account. The. There is the digital device based DirectvNOW app, which is used if you do not have a receiver and just stream content only.

I have multiple color vertical lines when i turn on my old Mitsubishi LCD HDTV. After about 20 minutes, they go away. But until then i can't see the left half of my picture, doesn't matter if it is...

There are two possibilities - bad T-CON board and bad LCD.

In the first case you need a new T-CON in the second - a new TV.

it is usually the LCD and it's usually caused by overheating and detachment of the very delicate LCD with multiple tracks from the board that makes connection with the T-CON board.

It starts working after it heats up because all materials expand as temperature raises and that helps contact a place that was previously melted and detatched. We're talking micrometters here.

An experienced TV technician may have luck identifying the place and applying physical force there so that it doesn't detach.

However, it's a technology issue and if it has happened in one place of the LCD it will happen in another over time.

Contrary to what popular belief is competition isn't all good for customers.

Competition leads to lower prices and from there to lower quality.

All consumer electronics - and particularily the TVs - are an excellent example of this.

Not sure I helped you much, but hey, don't kill the messenger.

Picture is to big for the screen

This is a picture format setting. Some remotes has a button labled format. Press the button to change format options. Or select menu and go to picture settings and find picture format, and scroll through options to find a setting to your liking. Depending on you service provider (dishnetwork, directv, or cable) you may need to change the picture format setting on that device as well. Contact your service provider if your not sure how to access these settings on the service providers box (device).

I can't program my direct tv remote to my coby TFTV3225 TV. Don't have the right codes. Does anyone know the codes?

Hi,

11531 is the code given by DirecTV for this model. To enter this code . . .

1. Slide the mode switch at the top of the remote to the TV position
2. Hold both the MUTE and SELECT buttons until the LED blinks twice
3. Enter the 5-digit code 11531
4. Test the volume and power buttons for correct operation with the TV

If the code does not work first time, try entering the code a couple more times. If it still doesn't work, also try code 11436. DirecTV do not list any other codes for your TV, so if they don't work, it's possible that the remote will not work with your TV. There is also a code search option which tries every code in the remote. If this doesn't work, the remote definitely will not work with your TV.

Please try the codes above and let me know if you need further assistance or the code search instructions. Also, remember to slide the mode switch back to the DirecTV position after you have finished entering the codes.

Regards,
BElectric

How to adjust from 480p to higher resolution up to 1080

several things use hdmi cabling, also change resolution (can sometimes be changed on front of direct tv receiver) or may have to go through menu to change to the different resolutions. also turn the native mode OFF! having the native mode on for directv will give sometimes give you odd pictures. also whatever resolution you choose through directv menu's make sure your tv is also set to the same resolution

Wavy picture

It looks like you have a convergence problem here, probably a defective convergence IC.
