I have a GE Spacemaker Over-The-Range Microwave Model #JVM1533WD002 that has worked perfectly for 10 years. Now everything still works, except it doesn't heat the food. Where is the fuse located and how...

A common symptom of a failed magnetron is a failure to heat with everything else (magnetron fan, stirrer, timer, etc.) working fine. Check the GE manufacture date for the unit on its nameplate to determine the age of the magnetron. For GE models of the past, magnetrons had a 10 year parts replacement warranty. Magnetrons can be expensive, so you need to weigh all your options, i.e., repair versus replacement, before you commit to one solution.

Microwave lights up doesn't turn on

The part of the oven called the "magnetron" (this part is what creates/generates the microwave energy that heats the food or liquid) is burned out, the cost to repair is more this part is more than the cost to replace with the cost of Microwaves so depressed by the stagnant economy.

My GE Profile over range microwave spacemaker xl 1800 model jvm1870bf02 was working just perfect until my daughter decided to use the microwave as a timer and actual ran the microwave with nothing inside...

Magnetron is blown.
This high-energy microwave-transmitting device hides behind a small plate on side of oven.
The waveguide sticky-out part looks like a small tube.
Normally, water molecules absorb the energy, heating the food.
Without an absorbing 'load' inside the oven cavity, the high-frequency, high power energy bounces back into the magnetron and it destroys itself. (Magnetron Hari-Kiri).
In a nutshell, tech must renew magnetron.
Then iInstruct family members to never run it empty.

IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS RANGING FROM DIODES TO CAPACITORS TO YOUR MAGNATRON OR THERMOSTAST OR TRANSFORMERS. IT'S DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE WITHOUT SEEING THIS MICROWAVE. YOU MAY BE BETTER OFF GETTING YOURSELF A DIFFERENT ONE.

Everything works except heat

Sounds like you've had a failure in the microwave portion of the unit.

Microwave not heating problems when the timer/controller board appears to function properly, are related to the following components -

1) Diode
2) Capacitor
3) Transformer
4) Magnetron

GE PRofile Spacemaker XL Microwave Oven Model# JVM1460 950 watts

Sounds like the problem is in the high voltage. Most common would be magnatron, capacitor and diode. For safety reasons this should be checked by a professional. Look in your owners manual because some high voltage parts have a longer warranty than 1 yr.
