How do I fix my Bernina artista 180 that keeps giving me a please check upper thread message?

I have rethreaded my whole machine several times, but it keeps popping up this message every time I stitch a few stitches.

I am doing some machine embroidery on my Bernina Artista 730 and the upper thread keeps breaking. I have changed the needle and rethreaded many, many times!

use a bigger eye in the needle and loosen of the needle thread tension a bit
needles are all the same length but come with various size eyes to accommodate thicker or thinner threads
use scrap material until you get a good combination

Error message says please check upper thread. I do that and then it stops after a few stitches. Please Help. Carolyn

Hi
Likely there is thread or lint caught in the "flag" on the upper check spring or there is a broken thread caught in the take up levers
Most of the time the front cover has to be removed to get to the problem
contact me if you cannot get this resolved

Bernina artista 180 keeps warning to check top thread and it is threaded right

Refer to your manual for maintenance and clean the machine as indicated. A sensor may be blocked by lint.

If this continues, the machine will need to be serviced by an authorized Bernina repair tech.

When stitching the design the upper thread keeps

The tension is not properly set for embroidery, try to rethread totally new. Sometimes it is also caused by broken thread inside the machine, you can open it with the supplied L-shaped tool on the left side of the machine where the lamp is located and than take it out with a tweezer.

Have the artista 180 and the thread keeps

Hi, possibly you have put the bobbin in upside down. Try flipping it over in the bobbincase and see what happens. It should turn clockwise when looking at the bobbin and pulling the thread.Check that your upper tension is not too loose. Check that it is threaded correctly.
Hope this helps.

I must be threading my bernina artista 80 wrong it does not sew. I have rethreaded it a lot of times. what am I doing wrong now

Check to ensure that the needle is inserted with the flat side to the back.

Always thread the machine with the take-up lever in the highest position.

Consult the manual for exact threading instructions.

Bernina 180 Artista sewing machine

you may have to replace the upper thread sensor

Repeated message: "Please Check the Upper Thread."

The machine stops because the sensor near the check spring(in the tension area) tells it the thread is broken or not there.. You can try to clean it out again but it's probably going to have to go in for service.
