I recently bought my son a Frigidaire ffps4533qm. He calls me yesterday saying that it is leaking water all over his floor. It is only a month old...what could be the issue? Also, is there a drip pan on this model? He could not locate one.

A leaking fridge needs to be repaired quickly as it can lead to water damage in your home or business. In many cases the cause of the leakage is a clogged or frozen defrost drain hose. In other cases the fridge might be leaking due to a faulty water inlet valve.

Defrost Drain: If the defrost drain is frozen or clogged then water will overflow the drain trough and eventually make its way onto your floor. If the drain is frozen you can try flushing it with hot water. Also check for blockages.

Water Tank: The water tank assembly could have a leak. It may be very small so check carefully. If a leak is found the water tank must be replaced.

I found this at https://www.electrafixbc.ca/appliances/fridge.html

Check it out for more info on your fridge leak. Good luck!

Possible the drain hole inside (there for when it defrosts, and if there is one), is clogged. My main fridge just had that leaking issue caused by this. I used turkey baster to purge.

yes remove the rear panel in the freezer where you see the drain hole. Clear the ice from the drain hole. It will take a while for the water to start to drain because the ice is deep in the insulation. A small tube is helpful to draw some hot water in and stick in in the drain hole and squirt the hot water down in the hole.

SOURCE: Water leaking from freezer door and ice maker not gettin water

Check the fill tube for the ice maker and make sure it is in the correct place. This sounds like the fill tube has been moved and is running water into the freezer instead of the ice maker. Let me know what you find. I am here to help you.

SOURCE: water leaking onto floor when defrosting automatically

There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are cased by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze HOW TO FIX A LEAKING REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER

Dehumidifiers bucket empty but says full water leaking on floor

if says full and leaking on floor. it is full, you say empty, why make sure that it is empty, sensor in container to check level, so if it is empty, sensor fault, but leaking on floor, would indicate sensor ok, and container full

I have a Jenn-Air JFC2290v water appears on the floor front right corner, sometimes front left corner as well. I have moved the unit and have not found any water under it. This has been on going for...

I bought the same JFC2290 model and it says "Auto defrost". Mine is only 10 months old and it starts having exactly same problem already. Water leaks and I have to clean my hardwood floor twice a week. I will never own Jen junk again!

Water is leaking onto the floor from underneath. i bought a lot of vegetables yesterday and the refrigerator was really full - could that have caused it? what to do? thanks for any suggestions you have!

Hi,
The reason for your fridge to leak water on floor sounds like your defrost drain is frozen over. When the refrigerator is going into defrost it's draining through the front instead of the drain pan. You can remove the shelves and peel off the back cover and clear the drain by pouring hot water on the frozen drain hole. If you have a boaster of some sort you could try to squirt the hot water through the venting on the bottom of the panel. Another way to point a hair dryer on the drain hole. The best method is to remove the shelves and panel and make sure the drain is clear.

I am getting alot of water leaking out of the unit.

I live with my husband and three sons in a house that we almost never succeed in cooling enough every summer. But a few months back, my uncle mentioned that he had recently purchased a new model of air conditioner by Plasma Cool called Plasma Cool Portable PC-14E that required no draining and came equipped with technology to remove most of the humidity from the air. We checked this ac out at his home, and the next thing we did was researched all the no drain acs with evaporative booster out there in the market to see if there was anything better than the one my uncle had. But the only one that met our needs and budget was Plasma Cool Portable PC-14E. At 14,000 BTU, this ac is 40-50% more powerful than similar acs in the market and covers upto 500 sq. ft. Look for this product on www.plasmacoolportableac.com which lays out the features and specifications in easy and comprehensible fashion without coming across as trying too hard to sell you the product. We just finished the 30 day trial period, and now own the ac. We are very satisfied and are considering purchasing another unit soon.

Water Leaking - Freezer

My mother's fridge had a leak on the freezer side in the front. I removed the cover below the doors and found a plastic coupling in the water line to the water in the door option, when anyone filled their glass with water the coupling leaked. I bought a new plastice 1/4 inch coupling and replaced the old one and the problem was solved. The coupling costs about $3.00 a Lowe's and it took about 2 min. to change.

Water on floor

is possible that the plastic tube that leeds in the pan is obstructed or in a wrong position, check if water goes in the pan just put some water trought from the inside hole in the fridge and check if it reach the pan, maybe the inclination of the fridge is not sufficient, ( it has to be inclined to the wall direction so the water slides on the back inside wall of the fridge. can also be poor insulation of the fridge, so the outside surfaces come wet because of the hight air temperature outside and the cold surfaces of the fridge, then the water slides down the floor...make sure about air ventilation around the fridge!...I hope it was useful!

Where is my leak coming from?

Your machine has a bottom access panel. Remove the panel and run the unit. This will help determine where the leak is.
