The display on my Pure Avanti Flow has dimmed to almost nothing. The display brightness control has no effect on the problem. Is there a fix?

About 5 years old, have tried the brightness control display, have tried power off and power on, to no avail

I have the same problem. Could it be a display fault or a fault in what is powering it?
Any advise would be very welcome please.
    Many thanks.

The LEDs in there might have died. You can get it replaced, but if the LEDs cannot be replaced, replace the screen or the whole unit.

Display panel dim

The display on my cooker started to dim until it finally went dark over a few weeks. Although a different make, I replaced the panel and everything is now fine. I was amazed how bright the new display was so it must have been dimming over a long period.

Why doesnt my wave radio screen light up when the lights in theroom are on ?

That doesn't make sense does it? A few things first.... how bright are the lights in the room? Is the display of the WAVE facing the lights? The radio has a photo sensor that detects light, but for it to be effective, it has to "see" the light. It could be that you have a bad photo sensor, but I would try a few things first. 1. Make sure the light in the room is sufficiently bright. 2. Make sure the display is pointed in the direction of the light. 3. Make sure nothing is covering the photo sensor (like a piece of tape or something.... maybe a previous owner wanted to "turn off" the light". 4. If none of the above get you going, shine a flashlight at the photo sensor (a bright one). This should turn on the display. If this works (and nothing else did), that just means you ain't getting enough light to the sensor under your normal conditions and you will need to correct that underlying problem first,

Good luck!

Dim screen acer 5100-3019

Try going into power option settings and taking the brightness to the max there. Start, control panel, power options, then you should see a setting for battery and for plugin. Hope this helps.

Pure DAB radio not coming on when turned on. Just showing setting clock on display?

On all PURE products you have the option of being able to return the product to its original factory settings. As well as being useful for fully re-tuning the radio, a reset effectively 're-boots' the product's operating system which removes any user settings such as presets and timer/alarm settings. A reset can often resolve any anomalies found.
tip.gif Note: You will need to re-enter your network security information after performing a factory reset. Make sure you have your network security key to hand before performing a reset or you will not be able to re-connect your radio to the internet.
Instructions for EVOKE Flow/AVANTI Flow/ Oasis Flow/ ONE Flow: Make sure your radio is switched on. Press and hold the 'Options' button down for two or three seconds and confirm the reset when prompted.
Instructions for Sensia: Make sure your radio is switched on. Tap 'Settings', tap 'Update' and tap 'Factory Reset'. Confirm the reset when prompted.
Instructions for Siesta Flow: Make sure your radio is switched on. Press and hold the 'Options' button down for three or four seconds and confirm by pressing the 'YES' button when prompted.

Dim display

There is Video Driver update available in the Drivers/Updates page of the Computer model to fix this.

You can download the Update from this link

Please download and install the Update in the Computer. After installation, restart the Computer for the settings to take the effect. If the issue still persist, please try pressing the Fn/F6 Function Keys to change the Display brightness, as setting the Display brightness may cause the LCD to display dim.

Good luck..

HP dv1000 monitor just stopped working.

Description During the startup or boot process of the notebook, the display is very dim and barely readable. It remains dim when it reaches the Windows desktop. Restart the notebook with AC power Perform the following steps to determine if the dim display is due to a hardware failure:
  1. Connect the AC adapter to the notebook and a working electrical outlet.
  2. Power down the notebook PC by pressing and holding the Power button for 5 seconds.
  3. Press the Power button again to start the computer.
If the display is still dim after restarting with the AC adapter connected try changing the LCD brightness. Change the LCD brightness From the Windows desktop, hold the Fn key and press the F7 and F8 keys to increase or decrease the brightness of the display. If using the function keys does not resolve the problem, determine whether the Lid Actuator switch is stuck. NOTE: The key number may vary depending on the notebook PC. The image on the key should resemble the following images: Figure 1: Brightness Level Down c00776225.jpg Figure 2: Brightness Level Up c00776226.jpg NOTE: During battery power operation, the notebook display will dim to reserve battery power. Adjust brightness control using the control panel Some notebook PCs have the ability to adjust the brightness through video drivers. If the notebook PC has video drivers with this capability, perform the following steps:
  1. Click Start , Control Panel and then double click Display .
  2. Select the Settings tab and click Advanced .
  3. If the feature is available, a tab with the video card name will be present. If it is, select that tab.
  4. Adjust the desired brightness.
Finding the Lid Actuator switch The Lid Actuator switch is a small button or switch located above the keyboard and LEDs on the right or left side of the notebook. It may also be located near the display hinges. Pressing this switch when the computer is on may turn the notebook display off or cause the notebook to enter a different power state. Press the switch 2-3 times while observing the display. If the display is no longer dim the switch may need to be repaired. Contact HP service and support for further assistance. Contact HP service and support If the display remains dim after the troubleshooting in this document it may be possible that the backlight is damaged. Please Contact HP service and support to schedule a repair
