The solenoids are attached to the inlet fixtures on the back of the machine but they are inside with only the threaded coupling sticking out. You need to be sure they have voltage to them and resistance in them as part of the testing process.

either faulty solenoid or board, turn machine onto a wash and test for power going to the solenoid, if power solenoid is faulty,no power board is at fault

If he has takin the fill hoses off the unit and tested them for flow and the filters on the water valve are clean, then yes the fill valve would need changed.

MY FRIGIDAIRE FRONT LOAD WASHER WONT FILL WITH WATER OR SPIN . HAVE TRIED CLEANING THE DOOR LOCK & UNPLUGGING IT FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME.

Sounds like the fill water solenoid has bust, they are cheap to replace and fairly easy. make sure you disconnect from power supply and water supply before trying.

No water

Your problem sounds like a fill valve problem. This is what your fill hoses connect to on the back of your washer. It is an electric solenoid valve that is supposed to open when filling. However, sediments from hard water and well water have a tendency to clog them up to the point where they don't pass water any longer. Sometimes, the solenoid itself goes bad. A new valve usually runs about $20-$30. If you've checked your fill hoses and verified the household valves are working, then I recommend replacing the fill valve assembly in the washer. I hope this helps.
