How do I replace pc kit on Lexmark X 264dn

The PC kit is removed by grapping the handle on the toner cartridge and pulling up and out. Then press the grey button under the toner handle to remove the toner cartridge from the PC (photo conductor) unit. Install new PC unit in printer and install the toner into the PC unit. Check instructions with PC unit for reset instructions for the page counter.

My Lexmark E250DN said it needed a new Photoconductor so we replaced and it still says we need a new photo conductor, How do I fix this?

Whenever you replace the photoconductor unit, remember to reset the PC counter. With the printer powered on, open the front door/cover. Press and hold the cancel button until all the lights flash. This indicates that the photoconductor page count has been reset. Hope this helps. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

I have a Lexmark E232 printer. It has worked great up until a few days ago. Print quality became poor. I purchased a new toner cartridge Did not help. I purchased a new drum unit. Just installed,...

Blank pages can be caused by a defective printhead assembly, LVPS/HVPS, or controller card.

Blank pages are typically caused by the PC ( photo conductor ) roller not being charged properly.

The first step would be to try a new toner AND photo conductor kit., but since you stated that you have already tried that we can rule that out.

The next most logical unit to replace would be the LVPS/HVPS.( both power supplies are combined in one replaceable unit). The reason I say this is similar to a car with a bad battery. If you try to start it, it may not have enough juice to turn it over, but it tries, and then gets slower and slower. If you wait a few minutes, it still does not start the car, but again it has more charge and then slowly dies. I think your power supply is defective, although not DEAD, and tries to do its job by charging the photo conductor unit, but just unable to complete the task.

Although a possible cause, the printhead would be the last and least likely to cause the problem. USUALLY if the printhead goes bad it results in a service code being generated.

The part number for the card assembly, LVPS/HVPS 110 V, is 56P1818
The part number for the card assembly, LVPS/HVPS 220 V, is 56P1819
The part number for the print assembly, laser/mirror E232, is 56P1812
and the part number for the controller card, is 56P3087

I do not sell parts, and just give you these part numbers for your reference. you can probably search google, ebay, and/or craigslist to get an idea of prices. Then you can at least make an informed decision on what to do as far as "fix it or just chuck it"

I wish you the best... good luck!
