Many Bosch dishwashers have a design flaw...the door will not fully close and pops out after you start it. When this happens the D/W will not run. You can go to the Bosch website to order the part to fix this and no they will not reimburse you nor acknowledge your email to customer service.

Processor board sound bad. May be a loose plug ( or corroded connection on the plug ) . Unplug the dish washer from the wall plug before servicing. The open the front panel to expose the panel control board. Unplug the panel plugs and inspect them to assure no corrotion is apparent. If you see corrotion, use a pencil erracer to clean all contact points on the board and clean the plug the best possible. Plug the dishwasher plug back in the wall and check the unit for proper operation. If the operation is not correct, replace the circuit board. I hope this helps

SOURCE: My Bosch dishwasher model #SHU43C05UC/14

open machine when running and check both spray arms rotating - you will get a bit of water out. if spray arms not rotating, usual cause is debris in the arms. the spray arms only rotate by water jetting from angled jets at the end of the arms. take them out and make sure all debris removed

SOURCE: Whirlpool ADP 905 wash cycle not progressing

There are a couple failures (major) that can cause these problems. A failed pump//motor is at teh top of the list.
It is past the point of simple, home repair and it is time to consider either a service call or replacement.

SOURCE: kenmore dishwasher has stopped draining.

remove the kick panel below the door, place a pan, etc under where the drain hose connects to the drain extension tube, and slide the clamp back some so you can slide the hose off of the extension tube (white plastic tube) and drain any excess fluid into the aforementioned pan, etc., then unscrew the extension tube and check for plugs, or restrictions.
the sump may also be pluged beneath the strainer assembly, and that requires removing the lower spray arm, the water tube that runs up the inside back of the unit, and the upper parts of the assembly below them to access the drain/pump sump area.
last but not least the impeller is jamed and might be able to be freed by removing whatever has lodged within there..
ya never know...
best of luck,

Hot water will not stop flowing. Hot water

Sounds like a bad shutoff solenoid. It operates the valve to let water in and then shut it off. There should be a valve behind the machine where the hose connects to the wall so you don't have to isolate hot water to the entire house.

I have an Electrolux EWD1477. I have been away for four months and I'm having problems with it. I set to do the quickwash30 program and press start, you hear the clicks, it might put some water in then...

My EWD1477 was doing this a year ago and I fixed it. Then it started doing it again a month ago and I seem to have cleared it again.

Firstly, remove the drain hose from where it is inserted into a laundry sink hole to make sure it is not blocked or sealed in with sludge.

Secondly, make sure the machine is empty of water and clothes and then turn the machine to off with the Program Selector Dial. Then turn off the power at the socket and remove the power plug and leave for five minutes.

Step 1: put the plug back in and turn the power back on.

Step 2: turn the selector switch to the right (Whites/Intensive). The green light of the Start/Pause button should be flashing and the green lights on for Prewash/wash, Rinses and Spinning. Don't press any other buttons or change any other settings.

Step 3: press the Start/Pause button and wait for the machine to empty any excess water. Press it again immediately after you hear water flowing into the machine OR two audible clicks. The machine is now in pause mode with the green light of the Start/Pause button flashing. Only the green light on the Prewash/Wash button should be on. Leave it in pause mode for 30 minutes and then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Step 4: If the Start/Pause button begins flashing, water stops flowing into the machine and the three green lights mentioned above are back on, turn the Program Selector Dial back to off, wait 10 seconds, and repeat the process above.

Step 5: If when you then turn the Program Selector Dial to Whites/Intensive and hear the two audible clicks, immediately press the Start/Pause button to set the machine in pause mode. Wait 30 minutes. Then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Hopefully the cycle will run without a problem.

What does LF mean?

It is a long fill error. It flashes when the machine control board detected no change in the water level or the water level is not reached in a certain period of time during the fill cycle. Water is probably not entering the tub due to the water inlet valve not functioning or water enters the tub but not properly due to clogged fill hose screens.

Press the Pause/Cancel button to clear the error on the display. Remove the fill hoses from the water inlet valve assembly at the back of the machine and check the screens. Clean the screens and replace it if necessary. Make sure that the water supply valve is open and water is present.

Put the machine in standby mode (only the Clothes Clean indicator is on) and activate the Manual Diagnostic Test Mode to check the operation of the water inlet valve.
  1. Select any one button except Power, Stop, and Stop.
  2. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds-->Release the button for 3 seconds--> Press and hold the button for 3 seconds-->Release the button for 3 seconds--> Press and hold the button for 3 seconds
  3. Press the same button when all indicators on the console are illuminated and "88" is displayed on the Estimated Time Remaining display. A single beep sounds and display shows the two digit console ID number for 3 seconds. The displayed ID number will change to "00" and the Add a Garment indicator will flash.
  4. Select Whitest Whites cycle.
  5. Press Start>Wash/Rinse Temp. The water inlet valve should turn on and fill the tub according to the Wash/Rinse Temp selection.
  6. Press Start to turn off the valve.
  7. Press Stop or Power button to exit diagnostic test mode.

The dishwasher has been running for 3 hours and seems to be stuck on 1 minute left. Upon opening, there was sudsy water remaining in the bottom, but the dishes looked clean. The washer just won't go to...

SHU 53 MODELS To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ ?21? = version 1 with jumper). When wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button. To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display alone). Cycle Countdown display will show ?88″ when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and ?8h? when Delay Start button is pressed. To start testing, press both the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended, Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added together, (e.g./ ?6? = faults 2 + 4). 0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault 1 = Aqua Sensor (?Sensotronic?) fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test) To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty. If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?4″ and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won?t be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show ?0″, water won?t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?8″ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.

Find the tube from the tub to the water level switch. Remove the tube from the switch and blow the sand and stuff out the line. Pump out any water in the washer and restart. 6b0c2cb.jpg
