Most likely switching valve on integral softener. Occasionally it has been the fill solenoid letting by. F04-3 refers in the manual to the wash tank pressure switch, but its actually a fault with water direction. You'll find the switching valve is directing water into the wrong tank, and thisnwillmgive the fault code. Replace softener.
