When printing color the paper jams. This does not happen when printing black.
Where it is jamming? Section
Is that true for both print and copy job ?
Where does the jam happen ?
I am thinking if it is at the paper pickup roller area just as the job starts to print and not midway while printing, check the paper quality; dirty pickup roller; clean cork pad and try job from another tray
When printing in color the print jams half way through the printing every time. Even if there is only one or two color lines of text at the top of the document. This is really weird. I've used both laser quality paper and regular copy paper. The printer has been cleaned also. A new fuser has been used also. I just printed nine pages in black with no problems.
Page contents cannot cause the paper to jam on the path.
I would check the driver version to be certain it matches the OS and the Printer model
Can you try a color copy job (not print) and confirm if that also jams midway ?
Confirmed. I tried color copy and it stop halfway through. The black copy worked.
Do they all stop exactly at the same place ?
I mean if you keep all jam'ed papers one behind the other.. you should be able to tell that.
also can you upload a pic of jammed paper ?
I've attached two scanned printout one color and one black. My color scans and print are like the attached color jpeg. I never get 75% of a color page printed or under 25% of a page printed. Mostly half. Toner cartridge issue?
Among the three color toner cartridges (Cyan Yellow or Magenta), I feel either
- the cleaning blade inside the toner jams after certain amount of rotation.
- or the tooth on one of the color cartridge is broken or worn out.
You should be able to rotate manually each of the toner rollers (without touching the developer drum) smoothly without excessive effort. Remember to rotate only in ONE direction.
