SOURCE: Our dryer (Samsung Model DV218AGW/XAA)

I had the same issue with a Samsung DV209AEW/XAA.

What I found was the belt had come off and the spring on the drum belt pully had come off.

After I disassembled the whole top and front to figure out I could not access what I needed from there I discovered I needed to enter in from the vent is.

Anyway here is some info:

Rear Access:

1) On the back where the Vent comes out you have 4 total screws. 3 of them are on the outside edge and the fourth is more of a middle mount that holds the tube to this bracket. Remove all four screws now you can lift and lean this plate to remove it.

2) This will also free up the vent tube and it can be pulled and cleaned also if you desire.

3) With these items out of the way you can now access the pulley for the belt and other items.

SOURCE: My samsung DV331AER/XAA 02 clothes dryer will

Hello Sunny;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

1.) Poor air flow:
If your dryer is plugged up with lint it will not heat. In the back of your dryer is a air distribution manifold. It is elongated and round at the bottom. There are just a couple of screws holding it on. Unplug your unit, remove the manifold, usually at the bottom is where it is plugged. Also clean around the blower wheel.

2.) Bad door switch - If the drum is not turning.
If you hear a clicking sound when you push on the plunger the switch is good. If not:
Remove the top cover. There are two clips in the back, one on the right and one on the left. Using a spatula or thin blade push in to release, then slide the cover back. You should be able to see the door switch. Remove the two wires from the switch. With a multi-meter set on the lowest ohms check the switch. If you get a reading other that '0' the switch.

3.) Thermostats:
This is located inside the dryer on the side of the electric heater assembly. You must ohm this out as above.

4.) Bad heater element.
Ohm this out as the above.

Part #: DC47-00019A - Cost: $65.00

5.) Bad motor drive pulley contact switch - If the drum is not turning.
25312091-qnuotto0teqx03madlicwlvw-3-35.jpg
Part #: 3405-001077 - Cost: $7.00
Ohm this out as well while holding the button in. Once again should read '0' if good.

Dv337aer/xaa samsung dryer it had a t0 code i replaced the thermister. now i start it and all i hear is clicking, no spinning to heat? what should i do helppppp

You may have not put the belt on properly. These have a belt switch on the pully. So if it's installed wrong it'll pop off the drum causing the unit to be idle.

Samsung gas dryer dv331 will power up but won't run. The lights blink and the unit clicks one but won't start.

Try spinning the drum by hand. If it's really loose, then you need a new belt. I recommend getting this done by a professional, or you watch a youtube video. It takes a standard whirlpool belt.

Samsung Dryer Model DV419AEW /XAA Dryer will not

I doubt its the main board. Try seeing if the drum is tight and seeing if the belt broke by spinning it by hand. If the drum is real sloppy and you can't feel motor tension, you need a belt. I would rule out the mainboard until last because the belt is like 89 cents.

Samsung DV210AGW/XAA Dryer, drum wont turn nor heat up

hi all, thanks for your comments. to note, it's my dryer not my washer so the suggested solutions wont work. Also, forgot to note, the unit is only 14 months old and just out of warranty. What I've done so far:
- vacuumed the filter
- striped the dryer, meaning removed top. front and small exhaust panel in the back
- vacuumed everything
- checked the belt, tight, not loose, broken or off the roles
- child safty not enguaged, toggled it anyway to be safe
- the checked micro switch next to belt by motor, not engaged
put it all back, turned on with nothing, tried every setting in auto and manual tied high to low temps and times, the time is noted, such as 40 min, but does not time down, over time, the unit sound the I'm done tone, if left as is, continues to chime then end like it did something. all along, the drum never rotated nor did it heat up.
Does one impact the other, such as if the drum does not roll then the heater wont start or vise-a-versa. Could the control panel have taken a hit or are there sensors that might have shut down to prevent the unit from starting are there fuse's that I didn't see that might have been tripped.
