If it's CDMA it works with any (verizon). But if it's GSM it only work with carriers like AT&T.

Even if You are the original owner, good luck on that too! Sprint is a money hungry leach, who beliefs if they can't have Your service, they will be damned if any one else will get it! I bought a used Iphone 5 from eBay! It was in the clear, under no contract, the previous owner had paid every thing owed to Sprint, so I contacted them, they said it was carrier unlocked, so I contacted Apple, because I could not get my sim from Cricket to work! I couldn't get it to reset so they sent me to Best Buy to have them to do it! Best Buy said it had a lock on it! I contacted Sprint, and told them that they lied to me! They said well you will have to bring it to the Sprint Store, they would put a code in it to unlock it! This was another Lie! Because I was told that they will not unlock it for local calls! So I am out for the iphone, and out for the gas to travel 1/2 way across state To Best Buy! I don't have Sprint Service in my area! Sprint not only is Your staff full of Lies! But You SUCK! Do yourself a favor, if You buy an Iphone or any other phone even if it is not a Sprint phone, because if You activate Sprint on it, It will no longer be Yours, because it will take an act of congress to get Their Carrier lock, off Your phone! Stay Away!
