Hello,

Unless you're hooking a computer up to the monitor and watching TV/DVDs on the computer, you need a TV box such as this: http://www.kworld.com.tw/product_overview.aspx?P_ID=15 in order to watch TV/DVDs on your monitor.

Regards,
Javabytes

Hello,I am currently using a Viewsonic VX2235 monitor. When I turn on the PC the monitor stays black and it takes turning the monitor on and off several times to get it to work. Would greatly appreciate...

Hello,

The problem you are having is caused by a power supply board that is starting to fail. Parts called capacitors start to fail and the power supply does not start up as it should and requires power cycling to get it going. Most VX2235 units use the DAC-19M010 power board. Here is a link that shows how to repair the board by replacing the bad capacitors.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

My digits are dimming or fading making the watch hard to read. Battery reading is "high"

mcdevito75 Here, The battery could be loose makeing a weak connection or the LCD screen could be going bad, Have a small watch repair shop in your area check it out. If you can do so yourself be very carefull as too much pressure on the battery (PRESSING) could destroy the LCD face of the watch, also if the display (FACE) of your Casio ever goes black, even if display returns, the LCD is going bad.

I bough the LCD model VA2231w- LED every time I turn it on then it pop up that change the resoluyion to 1920/ 1080P I don't know how to do it. So please help. Thanks Thai Nguyen

This would be the Native resolution. That your display functions and displays best in.
Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
(1) RIGHT mouse click over your desktop.
lightdark_0.jpg
Windows XP will differ - but same basic idea to navigate and make this fix.
Pictures show from a Windows Vista Machine (extremely similar to Windows 7)
(2) Click Display settings
lightdark_1.jpg
(3) Now you'll see a slider bar, Native Computer Display 1680x1050 resolution.
Some computers can not support this resolution and may cause non operational situations.
If the display setting is not on the slider bar. Chances would be that it's not a supported Resolution.
"Older computer" If the display doesn't show while trying different resolutions - do not click apply and wait. the screen will return to it's previous setting. ViewSonic VX2235 has a Setting that could be used to Disable this annoying message - Revert to ViewSonic lightdark_2.jpg

Hello my vx2235 lcd display is not loading, the screen has on it, out of range H. frequency 95KHZ v. frequency 60KHZ the buttons on the screen dont do...

This monitor and all other have known problem with power supply DC filter caps.
http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Viewsonic%20VX2235W/
Look for that first.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My monitor viewsonic vx2235 wm model VS11349 has not picture. Power but no picture. Can you help me figure out what's wrong? Thanks

Hi the problem from the power board . If you are comfortable with soldering all you have to do is open up your monitor ,remove cables connected to power board. Make a sketch of what it looks like noting the location of the capacitors and thier rating . All you have to do is replace them with ones of the same rating and couple them back. The ratings would look like this 10uf/25v it's better to find exact match or if you have 220uf/25v ,you can replace with 220uf/35v.

LCD VGA Display goes on and off.

Check refresh rate and setting for external display output. It won't work with unsuitable screen resolution, color depth or refresh rate. Check all three points and I believe you can troubleshoot the problem this way.

Black screen

Don't let the computer turn the monitor off. Go into control panel and click on power option. don't let the computer turn anything off and disable hibernation if on. go to screen saver and have it come on in about 30 mins.
