At the end of the wash cycle on my bosch dishwasher model she45mo6uc/50 it sticks on 1 minute remaining and never ends the cycle. I ran the diagnostic system and an error 01 comes up. Any ideas?
The water is moving in and out during the wash cycle but it is not heating up. There is also an inch or so of water left in the bottom of the machine.

Bosch dishwashers come with a built-in test cycle option, known as the Bosch dishwasher diagnostic mode, to help identify what's going wrong. The test cycle ...
The blinking "clean light" is a common problem with some of the Kenmore and Whirlpool models dishwashers. The problem is usually attributed to water supply temperatures being too low when filling. Apparently, there are some issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers that causes an error code to be generated if a certain water temperature is not achieved in a specified time interval (this time may differ between models). There is a reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault. Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons in that sequence two to three times. The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button. This will clear any existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation. To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot BEFORE you start the dishwasher. This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line). The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits. If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains what the fault is. The flashing light will be a series of flashes, followed by a pause. If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on the number of flashing lights in the sequence. Refer to the tech sheet to determine WHAT component is affected and how to troubleshoot.
The most common problem that causes this with this particular unit is the water heater unit failing. It will clod rinse but then when it fills and tries to heat the water, it senses that the heater unit isn't functioning and errors out
IF IT ENDS UP WITH WATER SHOWING AT THE END OF EVERY WASH THEN THE DRAIN PUMP IS JAMMED OR FAILED THE DISHWASHER PROG WILL JUST KEEP LOOPING BACK TRYING TO DRAIN THE WATER.
this sounds like flow sensor failure,it it fails machine will either not fill up or fill and drain without washing its a cheap part to replace and is fitted downstream of inlet valve behind l/h/s side panel either attached to inle hose or heat exchanger.
The control panel needs to be replaced (indicated by the "2H" error code displayed at the start of the cycle).
BTW - The number 1 displayed at the end of the cycle indicates the cycle has timed out (i.e., it doesn't mean 1 minute remaining). Hence the continued running of the unit. Until you replace the control panel, you'll have to manually cancel the cycle at this point.
Try this link, http://www.applianceaid.com/boschDW.html for procedures for running self-tests on various Bosch models using the front door switches. Find your model and read and follow the procedure.
This remaining at '1' problem invariably relates to a 'heater fault' which has usually been traced to an open solder joint on the control board located behind the switches/indicator lights on front door. See pic here of open solder joint http://www.flickr.com/photos/zenzoidman/145089572/
In most cases, the heating element has not been at fault.
I got mine going again by resoldering the joint and saved ~$300 in parts & labour. If this is beyond your skill set, then replace the control board assembly, 266746, which is used on multiple Bosch models. See this page for more information if you want to try to DIY.

If this is still beyond your skill set, then call a tech & supply the Bosch model, serial number, and the results of the self-tests.
Have you tried it on a different program? I have nearly always used the AUTO program - however i have used the 50 degree program 3 times now and it completes the (much longer) wash without sticking on one minute. Will try it on auto again to see what happens. I found it useful to turn the end-of-wash buzzer on (to loud) to remind me when (if) it completes the program.
