SOURCE: won't spin out on normal wash cycle

I think I figured this one out. I think it means that the washer is not able to drain, therefore it won't spin either. Underneath the washer is a series of outlet hoses and within one of them is a filter. When I finally found the filter it was clogged up with lint, fibers from a pillow and coins. You have to dig the filter out and then clean the filter and rehook up the hoses, this was relatively simple even for me. The washer works perfectly now.

SOURCE: frigidaire washing machine no spin cycle

I had the same problem with my Frigidaire Affinity front load washer. It would go through the wash cycle but would not do the final spin cycle that takes the access water out of the clothes. It would actually cut off when it got to be 6 minutes left. I checked the hoses, belt, motor and pump but all were functioning properly. I even cleaned out the filter thats located in front of the water pump. It was full of coins and other debris but it still didnt fix the problem. I called the repairman and he concluded that the control board was bad and would have to be relaced. The board is $200 and labor $140. It will cost you $340 dollars to correct this problem unless you know how to replace the control board yourself. Only had the washer for 3 years. I wouldnt expect something like that to occur within that short period of time.

I bought a new Maytag washer and I can't figure out what cycle to use for blue jeans. When I put it on normal and had a full load it. The water didn't even cover the blue jeans. What am I doing wrong.

read your operators manual
the machine is not designed to put all of your clothes in at once to start with and second the water level for a full load is high not normal
the normal refers to a normal mix of clothes and not water level
special wash is for delicates ( undies , silk etc ) or heavy wash is for heavy soiled clothes --coveralls , jeans , heavy jackets

Will not rince at end of wash cycle

If ur machine have additives cycle, check whether the solenoid valve (for opening water inlet to the additives' tray) is working or not. You can check this by listening to the sound of water during additive cycle. If it is not working, you have to replace the water inlet valve unit.

Maytag ensignia makes a great deal of noise during rinse cycle

"If you dont have a noisy spin cycle and the noise you hear is only on the rince cycle, dont be worried, as this is totally normal. Water sprays onto the drum while the spin cycle is in progress and rewets the clothes to allow any existing soap to be desolved. This noise is in effect the water hitting the drum during the rince part of the cycle.

Water will not fill during rinse cycle water just keeps runningg?

That is quite normal. When the rince cycle is on, it sprays water into the tub while spinning. In that way, it removes small traces of residule soap still on the clothes.Of course it should stop once the spin cycle is finnished.

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
