That would depend on the terrain (and weather). If you're deep in a valley, you won't be able to see very far, no matter how clear the sky is. If you're on an isolated mountaintop, you could see for hundreds of kilometers if the sky is clear.

I am searching for a user manual for a KONUSTARAT 700 refractor telescope. Can you help me?? Thanks, Lars Sorensen

Only a dealer that handles this scope will have a manual. This dealer sells Konus scopes:

My new konustart 700 does not contain any instructions on how to use the instrument,i dont want to be taught how to be an astronomer i just want to be able to observe the monn etc to start with and if that...

This is a small 70mm refractor on an simple alt az mount (up-down & left right).

Put the diagonal into the focuser and then put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal. Go outside during the day time and practice focusing with this eyepiece on a distant object. Line up the crosshairs in the finder scope with the same object that you are practicing on.

The image will be upside down -- this is not a problem no up or down in space.

Point the scope at the moon.

This is a diagonal--

I bought a Konus Telescope Konustart 700 1736 but I can not see anything I see everything dark, just put the 20mm lens is that I see is the same thing but to see with our eyes. What do I get a good view of...

Objects in the sky are very tiny -- smaller than the tip of your finger held at arm's length.

Read my tips on my profile page-- The moon should be your first target at night, since it is llarge and easy to find.

I have the finderscope for konustart-700 complete with stand but i dont seem to have any means of attaching-it mentions bolts in the manual which i dont have and i also cant see any bolt holes

You probably need to use the same screws that hold on the focuser at the rear of the tube. If they did not send you slightly longer screws you can find replacements at a well stocked hard ware store. Just take one of the screws with you and buy a slightly longer screw.

I recently acquired a Konustart 700 telescope but I need the instruction manual and star maps to start learning how to use it. Can you help? Mike Garabedian

You will not find a manual for this small telescope. Even if you did it only contains assembly instructions. It will NOT teach you how to be an amateur astronomer.

Here is a free star chart you can download every month:

I can't see anything but white light from my Konustart 700.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT USE the 2 x barlow if you have one. Go out side during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object.
