Hello!

It sounds like the triac, which drives the motor is in short, you can recognize from the heatsink, on Beko usually is riveted, not fixed with screw, but you can drill'em off, its an BTB12 ( or 16 ) Triac, replace, thermal grease under and back.
Rarely this problem could be caused by tacho circuit error, but ususally Beko just stops and do nothing when tacho error

SOURCE: washer make a clicking noise

Zoobs, you could have something stuck under the agitator. The agitator will pull straight off. Grip it on each side and pull up hard, but don't hit yourself in the face. If that don't work, try slipping a belt under it and pull. Check for something caught under it. Another possibility could be the nylon suspension rod socket supports in the back. They will make a noise during agitation if they are dry. Put a little 3 in 1 oil to quite them down. Take the front panel off and check the pulley and belt, see if anything is out of whack. I also often find the motor support hitting the bottom panel during agitation making noise. Take the front panel off and observe during agitation. See if the support is striking the bottom. If so, just bend the bottom panel down. Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: Washing Machine Moves in Spin Cycle

There are 2 things you can do.
All washing machines have an off balance shut off, some are touchy, some let it run around the house. With wht machine empty, lean it towards you, on the 2 front feet, about 2 or 3 inches and let it drop. The self leveling feet in the rear must BOTH make good floor gontact and sometimes, just the weight of the machine will not adjust them. The other thing is, make sure the load is evenly distributed. Coats, blankets, small rugs etc. are very heavy when wet and they tend to throw all of the weight to one side.
There is no screw holding the yub in place. It hangs on the center post, where the agitator goes. There is however, what's called a snubber. It is a rubber device that looks like a flattened suction cup, that comes in contact with the tub. It helps keep the tub from jumping around too much.

SOURCE: Machine makes loud banging noise during the spin cycle

The load is out of balance. Open the lid and redistribute the contents. When it's empty, grab the basket and give it a slight push sideways. It should move a little but, not free swing. If it doesn't have much resistance, the "snubber" has dried out and should be replaced. It is simply a piece of rubber in a metal bracket, that rests on the tub. When the basket spins, the snubber keeps it from jumping around.

Simpson swt8043 top loader washing machine agitates anticlockwise only from new.

The agitator is designed to “ratchet” and turn one way but not the other. If your clothes are being twisted, that is most likely a transmission problem where it tries to agitate and spin at same time

My beko washer is going straight to spin cycle

Try to reset it: turn it on, push start button, then program (any program) is started and push and hold start button for 5-10 seconds.

Drain program should start.

Maytag HAV4657EWW tub bangs during spin

This washing machine has self-leveling rear legs. Tilt the machine up on the front legs and you'll hear the back legs drop down to re-level itself. Center the basket and restart.

Hoover elite 1210 won't progress to the final 'spray and spin dry cycle'.

Hoping to be of help after the spin dry wouldnt work on our hoover elite 1210.
It would do the wash cycle fine but as soon as it needed to drain, it wouldn't.
My handy man (Husband) is great at fixing things and opened the front panel by undoing the screws.
Near the motor on the bottom left, there is a wheel/fan looking thing.
(Turn the machine off first)
He tried to spin the wheel but it would only move clockwise and not anti-clockwise like it is supposed to.
So he gave the fan a few spins clockwise before giving it a gentle pull outwards in which it loosened the wheel and was able to move anticlockwise again.
We then turned the machine on and it started spinning and draining the machine.
This machine is a work horse and I refuse to get another. They don't make them like they used to!!
Mine has a leak and we use a drip tray underneath at the moment. So long as it works. I am happy.
Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.

Hotpoint WD420 1200 Spin

Hi I have an Indesit WE16 with some of those symptoms and cannot figure it out - so please don't rate this as useless yet! I am beginning to suspect a bad connection to the motor and I have noticed that the drum only turns anticlockwise in my case - if the program calls for clockwise rotation the machine just hums for a few seconds and then stops.

Does this apply to your machine?
Please add a comment and maybe together we can sort both of them out. D

My washing maching machine is very noisy and sounds like it is banging on a spin cycle. wot is it? it is ok when empty

Usually caused by the drum being out-of -balance. Can be the result of poor distribution of the clothes or too light a load in the machine. Before the spin cycle starts, the drum usually rotates clockwise and anticlockwise to distribute the load evenly.
If the above is not causing the problem, it may be due to the concrete damping block ( present on most washing machines) becoming loose. This sometimes happens after a period of use, and can be easily corrected by tightening up the retaining bollts.
Finally the bearings could be worn. Repairs could be expensive if this is the case.

Before investigating anything inside the machine MAKE SURE IT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY!

Hoover six express wont spin

all hoover machines spin in a clockwise direction the fact that you say the machine only washes in an anti-clockwise direction is a good indication that the reversing switches have failed (these provide the switching to drive the motor in either direction) if your machine uses a mechanical type programme timer this has failed if it it is a processor controlled machine it will be the motor drive card will need to be replaced either way not a diy task
