Power went out and now TV won't turn on

Good day,

This is a type of fault that is associated with the power board, you have to open the back cover and check for blown fuses, if found replace with the same rating, because this is the common cause of the type of fault, if otherwise the power supply board is dead, you know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help to solve the problem and do take caution in handling the television because there is high voltages in the power panel board of the television....

I have samsung(hitron) tv purchased around 4 years before. When the external power supply(switch) to tv is switched on, tv is not receiving any power. i mean tv is not functioning. what would be the...

Give me the model number for more accurate diagnoses....
It seems as though there is a DC problem on the power supply, it could be a simple fuse. Or it could be that a fault on another board is causing the power supply to shut its self down.....The TV is in self protect mode because of a short an open component somewhere. Like I said it could be just a fuse has blown. If the indicator light is on then its probably not a fuse problem, but rather an electrical fault.

It just turned off by it self and it wont turn on

TV is in fault protection mode. If the TV relay clicks on then off and the Fault LED starts blinking. You have bad/blown capacitors on the PSB-Power supply board. Recaping the blown UF caps works 90% of the time.

Tv has no power

This could be caused by several things, the fuse in the plug or the internal fuse in the TV might have blown, if so this could have been caused by an electrical which means once replaced should be ok. However there is the probablity that a short circuit in the power supply has caused this. You will need to use a multi-meter & check if you have an incoming voltage from the mains & then through the on/off switch. If so, check what voltage supplies you are getting from the power supply. It is possible a supply resistor is open circuit or a semi-conductor component is at fault such as a transistor or diode. You need to extremely careful when checking power supplies as some components can hold a high voltage charge. If you do not feel confident to do this then I advise having a service engineer to have a look at it.

NO PICTURE

the tv is fault, there is a lekage to ground, cause 5 amps is avery high current. plse take your tv to a w/shop and have the following checked
i rectifier diodes
ii power transistor, driver transistors, diodes, zener diodes
iii fusable resistors near the power transistor
iv making sure that a 90-110volts is getting out of the power supply to a line transistor, near the line trasformer.
the problem will be over
