SOURCE: Timex Expedition watch

I bought this for my son and he has been living with it for 4 months, and hour and ten min. off !  I just want to set the time, and I'm at the top of the world, no radio shack down the road.  Turn right at the polar bear.

SOURCE: how do I change time on timex watch?

These are settings for the Timex SPORTS 1440 Magnetism (5b841 -W163US)
These are for the 4 button SPORTS 1440 (not 6 button) - they will also work for the 1440 SPORTS "Informer" model wrist watch - you will NOT find these instructions on the Timex website - only the 6 button which will not work on these watches is on that site!

TIME AND DATE

  1. Press and hold MODE until HOURS digits flash (you'll be in Alarm Mode) Press MODE again to enter TIME mode, SECONDS digits will flash.
  2. Press ADJUST to set SECONDS to zero.
  3. Press START/STOP to select MINUTES.
  4. Press ADJUST to change.
  5. Repeat to set HOURS, MONTH, DAYS, and DAY of WEEK. Go through 12 hours to set AM or PM.
  6. Press MODE when done.
  7. To display DATE from Time display , press START/STOP.
  8. With DATE displayed press and hold START/STOP, then press ADJUST to change display between DATE-MONTH and MONTH-DATE.

SOURCE: Timex Expedition speed

It's not ok. Usual specs are +/- 1-2 secs a month, no more.
Try battery change first and if it doesn't help, go and see your nearest watcmaker to solve the problem.

SOURCE: Watch erratic. Slows suddenly between days of working well.

Sounds like a failing battery to me. Its very common for a watch to loose time when battery needs to be changed.

This is the best match for my Timex watch I can find. How do I set the watch for 24 hr time? For example 1900, 2000, 2100 etc.

You can get instructions from the Timex web site "timex.com".

At the bottom of the screen click on "manuals/downloads", then on "product
manual download"

Enter your watch type in the search box and click on "search"

How to change time to 24 hr for timex expedition

Hi, Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
http://www.timex.com/info/Product_Instruction_Guides_Downloads

Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.

I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill

How do I get my indiglo timex watch off military time?

If it is the five button type I have (there are several) you hold "SET" until a field starts flashing. Then hit "MODE" until you see "24-HR" in the display. Hit "LAP/RESET" once and it should display "12-HR". Hit set again and you are done. Also note that timex has all manuals available online for free, searchable by the "module number" you can find on the back plate of your watch. Hope this helps.

How do I get my Timex WR50M watch out of the 24 hour (military) time and back to a 12 hour clock?

Hold down the adjust button bottom right then press the mode button top left you will notice the a or p that stands for am/pm will disappear & reappear. If you have an a or p on your display then you are out of military time.
