How do I reset the millisecond hand used in the stop watch function on my nixon Ride SS watch?

Try this:
Resetting Chronograph Hands:
Note: Some Nixon watches come equipped with a "screw-down" crown; the crown must be unscrewed by turning it counterclockwise before it can be pulled out)
1. Pull the crown all the way out to position 2.
2. Push the crown in slightly to position 1.
3. Push top pusher button to advance the second hand to line up with the 12:00 position
4. Push the crown back in. (Make sure it is screwed in if it is a screw crown)

My nixon lowdown watch screen says ROM FAIL and i have only had it for 3 days how do i fix it ?

Hi You don't fix it. Hopefully you mean it's only 3 days old from being new and you can take back to the shop for refund/replacement.
ROM - stands for Read Only Memory and is basically the chip that all the software and information is stored on. This runs the watch and it's this that has failed. You could try reseting the watch by removing the battery and then replacing it.

I need extra links for the Nixon 42-20 crystal bezel chrono. The watch is too small.

I have looked at the Nixon site and it says that spare links are provided in the bottom of the box, see below.

Do you still have the presentation box?

"The compartment at the bottom rear of the watch stand can be opened and closed, and it contains the user manual and extra links and pins."

I stop using mi nixon watch " THE 51-30" for a month and now it doesnt work.

Your watch is an automatic type which means that it is a mechanical self winding watch powered by a spring. It is wound up by a weight that moves when you are walking about and this watch must be worn to keep it operating.

If not worn, these watches will stop in 2 -3 days because the spring has run down.

Some automatic watches can be wound using the crown wheel (winder) but if yours cannot be wound in this way, then swing it from side to side gently for a few minutes and the watch will wind up.

These watches thrive on being used.

  • Undo & pull the crown all the way out, then
  • undo the adjuster button (the one underneath the crown)
  • push the stop/start adjust button one push at a time and it will move in slight increments, keep going till you get the second hand on the 12 mark
  • then push the top adjuster and it will go back to the 12 mark.
  • Push the crown in and wind your adjusting buttons up and you have finished

How do you set the time to the Nixon 51-30 watch. Also what can you do to stop the knob from coming all the way off when unscrewed?

Click on my profile (escapement), then click on Tips and Tricks. There you will find link to all Nixon watch manuals. To stop the crown to come off it must be screwed and secured onto stem. If you are not sure how to do that, visit your nearest watch repair shop and they will do it for you. Rate me, please.

With "The Producer" Nixon watch, can you reset the main stopwatch hand to zero? It resets to +4 second position.

Pull out the crown to the first or second set position then press and hold down the start button. The sweep arm should begin to move into the right position. Once it is at 12:00 or 0 release the button and press the crown back in.

My nixon watch shows fogging on the inside after i wear it for a few hours??

The problem is that water or humidity is getting into your watch. You either need a new back gasket 9 probibly nicked when changing a battery, or your crown ( the little piece used to change the time) gasket is bad, or you have a crack in your crystal. Turn your crown as if to wind it , if it turns REALLY easy your crown gasket is bad, if not you need to open your watchback and insert a new gasket around the back cover. Make sure that it fits tight ( you probibly have to stretch it a little) and then reclose the watch. The only place I know you can get a seal is at a watch repair shop.
