No it cant, i had the same thing and have been down that path. It requires navigation DVD's of UK maps, for mine which are proprietary to the Japanese gps system and they do not exist in other languages.

The easiest way it to use a smartphone and the Camera Feature on the Google Translate App. It translates in real time what you are seeing. Look for Settings - Language.
Insert the region map DVD from Panasonic for your exact model and run it.
I don't think this is possible because Panasonic manufactured this machine for the Japanese market only.
