We had a thunderstorm yesterday. The power was off to the entertainment system electronics (all plugged into surge protector power strips). Much later when I wanted to watch TV, it wouldn't turn on. The red light in the corner seems less bright than usual turns blue when TV is on. I unplugged the TV for a few minutes and when I plugged it back in the red light was bright, then turned off, then glowed dim again - TV still won't turn on. All other electronics work properly satellite, DVD player, stereo system, etc.
You have to check the power supply of the tv. Try to replace it then only you will be able to identify the fault. Is it the power supply or the motherboard

You TV was victim of power surge. You should take it to a qualified repair service to diagnose it, it it it can be repaired and if it's worth. Curren flat panel electronic TVs are particularly sensible to power surge so it might be a good investment to use spike protectors.
It sounds like it could be your power supply board. You can get one from tristatemodule or shopjimmy. I personally use tristate its always cheaper and Ive had good luck with them but shopjimmy is pretty good too.
The TV's power supply has certainly got affected. Most probably some of the ground tracks might have got burnt along with a few components and this might require attention by a qualified service technician.
It's very likely that your TV experienced a power surge and it fried the components within the television. I would recommend buying surge strips (can find these for $20 or so, or more depending on its features) from an electronics store and have all your nice electronics plugged into them. TV, computer, sound system, etc. Power surges are a common way of losing electronics. I'm not saying the TV is completely broken, I would need more information/hands on, but I have a feeling you're going to be buying a new one after this.
Check the main fuse in the power supply, the TV also has small surge protection devices (MOVs) installed after the fuse, any surges the come along and big enough will cause the main AC fuse to blow. When you surge protector, EVERY connections must go through the surge protector, for example, the AC cord of the TV is connected to the surge protector, the cable connection did not go through the surge protection, the surge then can get to the TV through the cables.
Tv now have LED indication power light on the screen panel blinking light or totally dead,no light at all?The power supply board, that the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.That the power supply board is dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
