You need to connect it to the USB port of a computer. For the Windows operating system (2000 and above) after you connect the jump drive to the USB port, it will show up as a new drive letter in the My Computer folder. Double click this drive letter and the contents of the file will show up and you can delete individual files or the folders by selecting them and hitting the DEL key.

Only have 7MB left on my 2400 Dell Desktop. How can I increase space?

Hi Anonymous - To increase space for storage you will need to either add another drive(maybe a jump drive or a similar one like you have my be found on Ebay?) to your machine or delete some files from the drive that only has 7mb left on it. You can delete some files by going to My Computer and selecting the Details view for that window. This will show you the size of your biggest files(might be pictures, music or unneeded programs) that could be deleted. Take a look at them and see if they are ones you would like to delete. The bigger the better. Right click and select delete while holding the Shift button. Be sure to empty your Recycle Bin and also your Temp files. You can type %Temp% in the Start search bar. Go to Edit/Select all and then File/Delete(holding Shift button down again) and that should clean out some. Just select skip if any come up with an option while deleting. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Yes, it is technically possible to recover any deleted file (Even those removed from the Recycle Bin) by using file recovery software.

Deleted file...how can iget it again?

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, phone or camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what's happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.
If the deleted files are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just don't save any new files to it.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some file recovery software. Recommended asoftech data recovery as it saved my life many times.

Can not delete pictures on my flash drive on my mac computer

Are you sure they're not deleted? Try this procedure:
1) Connect the flash drive to the Mac's USB port.
2) Open the flash drive folder.
3) Delete any files you want.
4) Empty the wastebasket.
5) If the wastebasket is already empty (i.e. the files you deleted from the flash drive aren't in it), try to find the deleted files in the Finder and delete them manually.
6) Eject the flash drive - don't just pull it out of the USB port.
7) Put it back in, to check the deleted files really are deleted.
8) Sometimes a flash drive will create a hidden folder of deleted files, so it looks as if the files are missing, but they're still taking up space on the drive. If you find this is the case, use the Finder to track down the deleted files and delete them manually.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

Storage issue LEXAR Firefly 4GB

Empty your "Recycle Bin", to permanently detect some "hidden" files on the JumpDrive.

If necessary, try a "quick-Format" to reformat the drive, deleting all "hidden" files.
