your books are on the cloud with amazon, so you need to get a kindle app for your Samsung and then sign in to your account and your books will be available to your samsung.

On your kindle there is an app that reads "contacts". Look for it on your cloud screen in the kindle. If its not there go to amazon and download the app for contacts.

When you order from kindle, press the "sync" option then look on your home screen and you should see the purchase there.

Working inside a tablet is NOT for the feinthearted or non-technician. Best bet is the tech support / RMA route. Most of the cost of the tablet is the screen, so this means $$$. Since Amazon actually sells their tablets below cost (they make all their money on customer downloads), you would be likely paying more than the trouble is worth for the parts and STILL not have a working tablet.

There are companies who will replace the screen for about the same price as a brand new Kindle BASIC. personally I would suggest:
- buy a new Kindle BASIC for 59gbp;
or
- download any of the FREE kindle apps and just finish your library reads for free whilst you look around for a replacement.

If you want a TABLET rather than a eReader remember ANY tablet will download the free Kindle app so you can read your books on a Fire or a ASUS or a NEXUS or a iPad or anything really :)

Usually amazon will repalce your kindle if the screen is cracked. Try calling amazon customer support. If not, you can pay amazon to fix the screen but the cost of a new screen is almost the same as buying a new kindle.

Your screen is broken. Amazon should give you are replacement. If that fails, you can get the part at Kindle Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to open a kindle and install parts at Kindle Repair Guide.
