Zenith is4041 record/ cassette player

There is a clip in the center of the turntable's spindle. Remove it and the turntable platter should lift up. That model of turntable is driven by a rubber surfaced idler wheel that is tightly held between the motor shaft and the inside of the turntable's rim by a spring.
Most likely problem(s):
1. The motor is seized. (Even a seized motor will hum, from the 60Hz vibration of its windings.) You should be able to spin it freely between your thumb and index finger, with no resistance. If not, you must totally disassemble it (easy job), clean out the bearing journals with alcohol, lubricate, and reassemble. If you decide just to oil it without cleaning out the bearings, it will quickly seize again.
2. The idler wheel is seized on its shaft. Same solution as 1.
3. The rubber surface of the idler wheel has become hard with age. Best solution for this is to replace it, if you can find one. Alternatively, there are various liquid chemicals around that can renew the surface of the rubber.
4. The pivot mechanism that allows the wheel to assume its proper position is seized. Same solution.
5. Any combination of the above, including all of them! :-)

While you're in there, look at the geared wheel that engages the teeth on the inside center of the turntable's platter. It will have a little "kicker" mechanism that is moved by the turntable's tone arm (part that holds the cartridge) as the tone arm nears the end of the record. This little mechanism is notorious for seizing, and should also be cleaned out and lubricated.
Cheers!

Sony PS-LX350H turntable Phono cartridge looks not vertical, tilt to the right and non adjustable, this is normal?

Did you inherit this machine this way or did this problem just appear out of nowhere?

Refer to the manual, available at retrevo.com for free after you register (keyword = Sony PS-LX350H).

Page 8 shows how the cartridge attaches to the headshell.

Sony PS-LX250H Turntable Problem

If Sony does not have it available, you won't be able to find one. You can go generic, but you have to worry about size and fit.

Turntable ps-x55 / arm want move stay in lock mode

Hi,
I have the exact same problem with my TT - a PS-X55. It appears that the motor has failed. Too bad, as I was told the replacement motor part is no longer stocked by Sony. For what it's worth - the part number is 154116500.
Let me know if you manage to find some who has the exact part stocked.
