HOw to fix portable air conditioner? It is leaking

Unless it is leaking the refrigerant then what is dripping is the condensation air conditioners produce. This being a portable, it should have a drip pan that can be removed and drained. Window units just drip out the back and large units have a hose routed to drip away from the unit or into a drain.

I have a Haier Air Conditioner window unit that is leaking inside the house. What are some possible causes and solutions?

There are basically 2 causes:

1. The rear of the AC unit is not tilted down enough, so that water in the drip pan flows to the drain hole in the rear of the drip pan. The general rule of thumb for rear downward titl is 1/4" to 1/2".

2. The drain hole in the drip pan, near the rear of the unit is clogged. Locating the clogged hole can be a challenge, as the clog will blend in with the drain hole. Patience & persistence are needed in locating it. A pipe cleaner works well to clear the clog from the hole.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Where can I find a replacement drip pan for APC AP7003 A/C?

The drip pan in my york air handler is cracked. I maintain that it had to be under stress from install, don't see how a defective pan could last three years and then suddenly break. What do you think.

Water in the drip pan- what is causing it?

I assume you are talking about the indoor unit. One function of the a/c system is to dehumidify the air. Condensation forms on the cooling coil and runs to the drip pan. There should be a drain line on the drip pan that drains the pan outside. These sometimes become clogged causing the water level in the pan to rise. Try some mild drain cleaner to open the line. Hope this helps. Let me know what you find.

Collecting water on top of house boat from air conditioner

Thess units are designed to discharge the condensed water onto the roof under normal conditions. HOWEVER you should be able to have a sheet metal person make up a drain pan to fit under the unit.
You would ten need to add an additional gasket between the drain pan to roof and drain pan to A/C unit. The drain pan could have a hose connection attached to the drain pan. Try it, you might like it.
Also you may have to get longer screws to tighten down the A/C from below.
