When I turn on camera to take picture, it says memory full. How do I clear this?

tego34:

From the user manual for this camera (click here) page 247, it says "Memory is full. If you want to record more files, delete files that you no longer need" and references page 161 in the same manual.

On page 161, it gives you the directions for deleting un-needed files (pictures).

I would suggest transferring all of your pictures to a computer using Picasa and deleting the pictures that you've taken from the camera.

If you're using the memory that is built-in to the camera, it is much too small to hold many pictures. You should buy a 2GB SD card that meets the specifications in the user manual page 180.

How to recover erased file from panasonic digital recorder

Hi, there

First things first: DO NOT take any more videos or audio with the recorder that you want to recover files from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of voice memo file recovery.

Then connect your recorder to a PC with a recovery program installed. Photo Recovery Software (also recover Voice memos, audio and video files) is right what you need to use if you are running Windows. If you are Mac OS X users, turn to Data Recovery for Mac.

But you should remember - the more you use your recorder, the less likely you may be able to recover the deleted files back! So STOP using the device ASAP. Best regards!

I deleted the recording in the device through pc and it started malfunctioning. i tried to reset the device and format the file inside but all it says is format error.

Deleting the file is not the problem but if you tried to format the recorder from the PC then you have a problem ...try to reformat again when not connected to PC. If youv'e lost the manual you can get one at www.olympusamerica.com they are under "support."
