crt televisions use picture tubes, big glass vaccuum sealed shells that electrons are fired from. The front of that shell is the "screen" that you see.
Picture tubes are not worth your money to replace. If it is cracked, you need a new TV.
It's likely one of two things. There are drive transistors on the CRT board which control the output to the guns, the one that controls the red gun may be open, also check this board for burned resistors. It could also be a bad picture tube although this is less likely. If it is the tube, replacements if available are fairly expensive.
