Better to buy a new console. It would be difficult to repair the existing console.

If console lights up but doesnt respond when buttons are pressed, you more than likely have a console problem. Key pad issue would be my best guess.

It's either the electronics console overlay -- this thing often goes on this model -- or your motor is shot.
Have you ever seen it working?
Repairs can expensive.
You can buy an excellent replacement console electronics part for $100 (http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/Nordictrack-Console-Keypad-Overlay) , but if it's actually the motor, then you've still got more to spend.
In home service can easily run $150 for the call plus cost of parts.
If you decide that you're not going to try and get it repaired and you're going to toss it, I'd like to buy some plastic housing parts off that non-working unit from you. Please email me directly.
Cheers,
Mark

If the console lights up but the buttons don't work, then unfortunately it's probably the console and they're not repairable that I know of. Use aflat screwdriver to unseat the tabs that hold the front top cover in place. Thiswill expose the flywheel and pedal arm connection points. Rotate the flywheelby hand and determine whether lubrication will accomplish the repairs. If thebearings are exposed, use a grease gun with an extension nozzle and lubricateboth bearings with lithium grease. If the bearings are damaged or sealed, proceed to the next step.2
Removethe front and side covers on the main frame. Hold the flywheel with one handand use a box wrench to loosen the bolts that secure the pedal arms at eachside of the flywheel. Pull the arms away from the flywheel and remove thebearings from each side.3
Test thebearings as before. Lubricate exposed bearings with lithium grease andreinstall them. Sealed bearings must be replaced. Reattach the pedal arms tothe flywheel. Replace the main frame covers and front top cover to complete therepairs.
