You have to download the Google Play Store APK (i. e. installation file) to a device, transfer it to your tablet, find it there, and install it there. Make sure by going to the Application Manager under Settings and verify that you haven't just lost the icon on some page. The playstore is normally loaded as part of the operating system for your device. There are places where you can download an installable file for the playstore, but some devices will not allow installation of downloaded .apk files, or require you to turn off a setting that prohibits installing downloaded files. Without knowing the mfr and model number of your device, who knows what you would have to do to get this app reinstalled if you truly have somehow deleted it.

Unfortunately, your tablet manufacturer maintains a "walled garden" of applications. That is, you can only install applications from a list of applications that they provide. Not all of the Android applications that are available through Google Play are available to this device.

The only way you'll be able to get around this limitation is to hack the tablet (if such a hack is available) to allow installation of either a full Android OS or other hack to allow Google Play. Doing this will void your warranty at least or could "brick" your tablet.

Are you installing AVG from the Android Play store web site on your computer? If so, you may not be signed in to the same Google account that your Galaxy Tab is connected to. To make it simpler, open the Google Play Store app on your Galaxy Tab. Search for the AVG app there and install it. That way you'll be sure it is installing on your tab.

The google playstore doesn't work on an iPAD. It's for Android only.

I never could connect on my android 2.3 phone, but then I read something online about needing to uninstall and re-install the facebook app on the phone... the facebook app came with my phone, and my phone would not let me uninstall it! I WENT TO THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE AND SEARCHED FACEBOOK. When it came up, it had the option to update my facebook app, so I updated it, after that CANDY CRUSH CONNECTED TO FACEBOOK NO PROBLEM... go figure... my phone has automatically updated the facebook app several times, but the candy crush app would never connect until I updated the app manually using the google play store... Bizare!
