Philips Blu Ray Model HTS3541/F7 Unknown Disc error

Go to the main menu and try and find the factory reset. That should restore all the changed settings to before you messed around with it.

Check the wiring. If there is a break in the wire they will not play. Also check where they connect to the back of the device.

my manual on my Samsung 5500 says no sound will come from bk speakers unless it's a true 5:1 broadcast. Seems they only work on certain movies or shows with that capability.

I think if you try a CD disc, you will find that disc will play. The Optical Pickup(laser) has worn out of specification. There are actually 3 lasers in the unit; a CD, DVD and Blu Ray lasers. They are all use different wavelengths of light, so one laser cannot cover all 3 wavelengths. Unfortunately, you will need a new pickup. Again, try the CD. I'm 90% sure it will play fine, unless the pickup is covered in dust(like my house :-(. 1. Press Home
2. Press on R/C 8 6 8 9 3 1 0 (the 0 being multi-region)

There is no software update as it is already able to play BluRay 3D as detailed in the Manual.

Before you start, make sure that:

• your TV is a 3D TV, and is connected

to your home theater through HDMI,

• your disc is a Blu-ray 3D disc, and

• you have 3D glasses that are
compatible with your 3D TV.

or the 'Fault' could be that the 3D is turned off

From Page 18 of the Manual

Play 3D discs in 2D

1 Press ( Home ).

2 Select [Setup] > [Video] > [Blu-ray 3D

video] > [Off] .

3 Press OK .

4 Play your Blu-ray 3D disc.
» The 3D video is displayed in 2D.

If it is selected as Off then obviously turn in On.
