Hi, I have a PFAFF Hobby 420 sewing machine. Its motor is not working and there is no service centre of PFAFF in our city. Could you please guide me opening the motor??

Anything here that helps? I was looking for a service manual, but can't find one.

machine needs to be serviced. if its been sitting the when you run it sometimes it will tighten up the more you run ir and the smoke is usually oil varnish on the motor. It gets hot trying to turn the machine

Are you sure of the model number? Pfaff doesn't have a Tiptronic 1020, just a Hobby 1020. The manual for the Hobby 1020 is not on the Pfaff site: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Support-and-Updates/Support . There is a Tiptronic 2010 and that manual is here: http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Tiptronic_2010_2020-manual-EN.pdf?ext=.pdf . Some sewing machine parts vendors do offer the manuals for sale.

I would suggest that you call pfaff because if you do not have a pfaff dealer where you live then you will have to pack it up and ship it to a pfaff dealer that is near to you. Good luck oh and make sure to insure it. Hope that helps

Go to www.sewingmanuals.com website, click on Pfaff, when you get there scroll down to item no. 30, the manual to the right of that has the Pfaff hobby 301 to the 420. You can buy it there. take care and good luck. Andy
