To perform a cold reset
1 Turn the MFP off and then on.
2 When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 6 until all three
LEDs flash once and then stay on. This might take up to 20 seconds.
3 Press 3 four times until COLD RESET appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press 6 one time. The MFP continues its initialization sequence.

SOURCE: how do i reset my hp laserjet printer 1320 to its

It may be a defective cartridge regardless of its age. Did you remember to remove the pull strip on the cartridge? Is it getting more faint as you print more? If yes, replace the cartridge.

SOURCE: how to reset the pages

Restore to factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults, and it also clears the fax header name, phone number, speed dials, and any stored faxes in the product memory.

CAUTION: This procedure also clears all fax numbers and names that are associated with one-touch keys and speed-dial codes, and deletes any pages that are stored in the memory. The procedure then automatically restarts the product.

1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button.

2. Use the arrows buttons to select the Service menu, and then press the OK button.
3. Use the arrows buttons to select the Restore Defaults

HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175nw Wireless Color All-in-One. How can I do a factory reset? I can't find a solution on the web.

Question edited for clarity. Full make model.

A factory reset won't fix firmware crashes or errors on updates. The firmware is what the machine does before the software is loaded and how it is loaded. A Reset, only reloads the operating software. Error 79 is an easy fix though. You will need to take it to an HP Service Centre if the firmware update is the issue.

It sounds like the printer is holding a print job in memory since it is showing " Printing Document" now on the display. Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue. Disconnect any cables from the printer, except the power cable.

Hp laserjet pro 400 m401dn keeps going offline.

I would upgrade the driver first. You can also do a factory refresh which brings the printer back to the original condition. Make sure that you get the ip address off the config page just in case you need to reset the settings.

Hi,
Resetting the HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf accomplishes the following:
  • Clears all data from the printer's memory (including unprinted data, downloaded fonts, and macros).
  • Stops any printing that is taking place and ejects the page.
  • Removes some error conditions.
  • Resets the printer to its factory default settings.
Reset Procedure:
  • Turn off the printer
  • Press and hold the Left arrow & Cancel while you turn on the printer
  • Once you see Permanent Storage Init you can release the buttons.
  • The printer should now start resetting.

HP LaserJet Pro 300 M375nw keeps saying paper jam in drawer 2 but there is no paper anywhere.

My problem was the rollers at the top of the printer where the paper feeds out of the unit. I had printed some labels and some sticky material from the labels stuck to the rollers and metal fuser unit. I cleaned off the sticky strips from the rollers and fuser roller and the unit works fine now. You may have to let the printer cycle several times so it turns the rollers so you are sure to remove all the sticky stuff or paper. I also used a can of the compressed gas to spray out all the dust, paper and sticky stuff after I scrapped off with envelope opener.
