Odd. Is it the newest programming cable? I had issues with the old one fitting the radio, but not writing to it. Try to get a model number on the cable. Also, download the latest software. If the radio was programmed with newer software than you have, it will often not program properly. Moto means to keep you updated even if you don't want to.
Your making a new file and programming was the exact correct thing to try. So, that is why I'm concentrating on "odd" issues. Best of luck! John

Is there a way to program the Motorola RDU4100 radio to the Motorola CP200 or visa versa to communicate on the same frequency?

If your CP200 is a UHF model the answer is yes. Both radios are dealer programmable to most frequencies between 450-470 MHz.

How do you set the radio back to default settings. AXU4100

  • HI, I can help.

  • You will have to contact an authorized Motorola dealer such as http://www.buytwowayradios.com/products/motorola/motorola-ax-axu4100.aspx or any reputable two way radio store in your area. Those radios are still very programmable. I wish there was some way around this but there is not and Motorola gets very grumpy when unauthorized people end up with their interface because it is in fact quite the money making racket.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

How do I change and select channels and frequencies w my motorola axv5100 two-way radio? Can it communicate with a motorola talk about?

Hello,
This radio comes with programmed channels and tone codes programmed into it. Should it still be stock the the diagram below is what you will use. The tones programed into are there to prevent someone on the same frequency from interfering with your conversation. It's a way of isolating the frequency. These are adjusted by the A,B,C,D You will know what frequency it is by the channel indicated. As for weather or not it will communicate with a Motorola talk about the answer is no. This radio is a VHF frequency and the talk about is MURS.
Regards, Tony

Channel - Pre-Loaded VHF Frequency (MHz) - Code (Hz)

How could i program/change the freq of my motorola gp2000 manually

I don't think that you could program/change the freq of your Motorola GP2000 manually since newer Motorola radios today everything is done by computer and programming sotfware. You need to have software for GP2000, radio interface box ( RIB) and programming cable for GP2000 radio and these devices are not cheap. The best way is to contact a local repair shop to have it done for you or find a two-way radio technician, he could do this if he has all the test equipments required.
Good luck!

How to reprogram two way radio, its a motorola gp 339 and its set to 5 channels from when i brought it, can i reset it or reprogram it to normal uhf channels?

In order to reprogram this Motorola GP339 you need to have a programming software, radio interface box and programming cable for this radio then you can read and change frequency in it. To reprogram to UHF channels this radio must be in UHF band. Good luck!

I can hear what others are saying however i cannot talk to them. I know that i'm on the right channel. RDU4100 Motorola Walkie Talkie

The "others" have an Interference Eliminator Code ( aka PL or code) applied to their frequency. You would need to program the same "code" into your radio.

Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.mytoolstore.com/motorola/rdx_userguide.pdf

You can with the manual determine how to program and/or read-out the radios.

Best regards.
