Replaced compressor on 2007 Kia Sereno and compressor wont kick on. What's the problem? Please help.

did you test the relay no need to test fuse since it kicks on other is a short wire

Compressor clutch may be shorted.

have you checked the high and lower pressure sensors for a/c system

If you are low on refrigerant the compressor will not run

no check engine on possible fuel pump problem or converter plugged check airfilter and exhaust if the gas is escaping

If the AC compressor is kicking in and out then you are probably low on freon. If the Compressor isn't kicking in at all then the problem could be a fuse or relay in the Power distribution box or the fuse in the interior of the car. If the fuse and relays are good then the problem could be a bad clutch on the compressor or a bad compressor itself. If the compressor is kicking in and out then get a freon refill can from Walmart or an Auto parts store and add freon to the system until the compressor kicks in continuously.

You have too much pressure on the system. When the AC is on there should only be around 50 psi on the low side. Otherwise your taking a chance on blowing the seals or blowing the compressor. with that much on the system already I would hope the safety switch has kicked in a disabled the compressor so it doesn't blow your lines.

the clutch on the air compressor coil is proably burnt out. disconnect electrical plug at end of air compressor and supply current direct from battery to see if clutch engages, if it does not, change thecoil clutch switch.

disconnect low side pressure switch, Jump the 2 wires whil car is running, If pump is bad it wont kick on..

You could remove the relay for the compressor, then with a jumper wire, put one end on a positive voltage source and the other in one of the relay terminals.
