These remotes don't loose the programming code when a battery goes dead, most likely the remote or the board on the opener went bad, do any other remotes work? You can take the remote to an auto parts store and test it there. (They have a tester for key fobs)

If the keypad doesn't have dip switches it will not work with that opener.

If the keypad is hardwired, do this:

To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next, remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

If you press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds it should erase the memory and none of your remote unit should work. Just remember you will have to program them all.

You cannot use 2 keypads on one opener.

The button you added in your car is an earlier technology that is not compatible with the rolling code technology.

The radio frequency has changed and the old keypad will not work with the new opener.

On the back panel of the opener itself is a small pushbutton. Press the button and the indicator near it will light. While the indicator is lit, enter the new 4-digit code on your keypad and it will be set. (You are actually programming the receiver with the new code this way. The wireless keypad doesn't store a code.) The programming light goes off on its own.
