Your compressor is an oil-less type that has very little for you to do as far as service. Mostly you just have to keep it clean and occasionally drain the water from the tank. The frequency of that is dependent on where you are (humidity levels in your area) and how ofter you use it.

Bearing failure allowing piston to hit valves or a broken valve dropped into the motor but need to know if it's a piston type or a reciprocating compressor because they would have different problems.

Does it have an adjustable pressure gauge on it? If not the reeds inside the head are shot. You might try flipping them over, But I would have to see to tell you better. Th reeds are located right under the heads, little flat pieces of spring steel. One goes in, one goes out.
