Hi, The BlackBerry smartphone displays the JVM 523 error message: For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.1, this error may occur if a third-party browser channel icon has a HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) redirect. OR When a locked BlackBerry smartphone with content protection enabled receives a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) message, this error may occur. This error only occurs with the Today themes in BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2.2. Download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Device Software on the BlackBerry smartphone by following these steps: Download the latest version of BlackBerry Device Software from your wireless service provider's web site. This might be because of The BlackBerry Internet Browsing service book is corrupt or because of The BlackBerry smartphone user is not provisioned for BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service.
For BlackBerry Internet Browsing service book is corrupt. Follow thw step's:-
1) Clear the service book database.
2) Perform a hard reset by removing the battery from the BlackBerry smartphone and then reinserting the battery into the BlackBerry smartphone.
3) On the BlackBerry smartphone, go to Options -> Advanced Settings and from the Host Routing Table, click the menu key to select Register Now.

For BlackBerry smartphone user is not Activated for BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service. Follow the step's:-
Contact the wireless service provider and have the BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service
added to the BlackBerry smartphone user's account.

Check whether you are getting EDGE/GPRS in upper case.Have you activated BB services,if you have already activated BB services there may be a network issue also and check whether there is a check mark in blackberry internet services(Menu-Options-Security Options-Firewall-BlackBerry Internet Service)if there is a check mark on it remove it.If you are using BIS check the default browser is Internet Explorer of if you are a BES user default browser is Blackberry Browser.Menu-Options-Advanced Options-Browser-Press menu-change Options-select the browser according to the service.

Your service provider must activate the internet service and email to your Blackberry. Call your provider for assistance.
