My tv 50" element tv flat screen

I am afraid that the dark spot in the screen is not repairable. Manage as long as you can or go for a new tv.

Get what use you can, there is not a way to "fix" that--the front screen unit is called a display panel and even if it was available the part alone would cost much more than the whole set did when new, time to go shopping for a new set.

Sorry, damage to the screen unit is always fatal.

I thing your lens on the light need cleaning because it is a rear projection tv.

To which model television are you referring? It sounds like you either need to change the input method for the TV or just change to a different channel (2 or 4).

I do have a work around that I have used on this model for the past3 years. if the sceen goes black. Turn off the tv. Grab the upper left and right hand corners of the tv with your hands. Flex the tv slightly back and forth. then turn it back on. my will usually run for hours after I do this. I do this 4 times a week. I works 100% if the time for me. Sharp lost a customer. good luck.

Try doing a system reset. Not sure it that's the term they use but that option basically resets the tv to factory default settings. It's in the menu somewhere. I've done the reset twice already for a similar problem. Solved it each time.
