I have a Hisense TV, the control hdi100 wont turn the tv ON or change channels. will still control sound and DVD player. Have I hit wrong button and which is it, to return control of the television.

Side of TV will turn it on and control everything. The remote controls volume and the DVD player but not the TV ON/OFF or channel select.

Do a hard reset to this set, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Sounds like you need to change the input channel of your TV with your TV remote. Look for an Input or Video Source button. Once you've found it, insert a DVD then cycle through the inputs with that button until you see something on the screen. As always this could be undermined by incorrect connections to and from and the DVD player. Double check these as always!

You might be on the wrong "channel" on your TV. On the remote for your TV, there should be a set of buttons for if you want the remote to control the TV, or DVD player, or Aux 1 or 2. You want to click the TV button and try changing the TV's "channel". Your cable/DVD player are on different "channels" of the TV. Try scrolling up and down through the "channels" of your TV.

Hi:
Using remote locate a button called tv/video or Input, turn on the DVD player and hit this button until you see your DVD player Logo. Most dvd players use either video 1 or 2, or componet or HDMI outputs. Seems you have changed the TV's input back to TV mode and you need to change it to a video mode input.

Tv picture wont turn on

Press the menu button if the menu does not come up then the issue is with the tv. If the menu does come up , try a second source such as a dvd player or a game system. you may need to change the channel on the tv or the input to get video and sound.

TV input

it is likely that your tv is interpreting a random button on your remote as a signal sent for it to change inputs, next time this happens turn the tv off and back on and note what comes up on the screen, for example video 1,

RCA F25645 25in TV.

I have this same TV. The DVD player is either hooked up to the video or s-video input. Go to the Menu (either through the remote or from the front of the TV) and select the Setup option. Go to the part where it asks if you want to use a DVD player. Select yes. Then select Video Input. Exit the Setup. When you hit the DVD button, it will switch to the Video input. The second step is to go into the Menu and select Channel, then go to Video Input Source. From there, select which input you are using for your DVD player, the S-Video or the standard Video (yellow composite cable).

You should have an input or source button on your tv remote control. Turn on your dvd player and press this button ( changing source from tv/cable to whichever video input your dvd player is plugged into ) until you get the dvd picture.
