Bought tomtom 25 from ebay first owner never registered it. ,3 months old .now I've got no pop for when I try to register in my name what will they say if I've got no proof of purchase except ebay transaction and no printer
Try to get, from the eBay seller, any/all PoP document, etc. If you have that, you can register your device on TomTom website, and you'll be the first owner ... with all the privileges ... including latest map, TomTom Support, warranty, etc. If you can't get all the PoP documentation, you can still register your GPS device on the TomTom website. However, as a "second" owner, you may not get all of the "privileges" ... e.g. warranty, etc. (unless the eBay seller is an authorized TomTom distributor/seller.). You may get the lifetime map (feature) ... because that is usually associated with the specific TomTom device (serial no, etc.).
SOURCE: I bought a garmin 200w on ebay, then purchased new
That's the problem, it was already registered to someone else, but I got in contact with the previous owner and he un-registered it then I could register it and get new maps
SOURCE: just bought garmin with lifetime
You'll be asked to create a username and password. Keep them safe as you'll need them if you want to update maps at any stage.
