Check if you get water from the tap without water timer.
Look for obstruction in filter washer (rubber washer with screen mesh to keep debris out of timer)
Battery operated water timers are made to last few years, and cannot be exposed to freezing temperatures or hot sunlight

There is no magic cure for plastic, battery-operated, digital, water timers that are exposed to weather.
Try spraying WD40 on the button.
Turn timer upside down and spray WD40 again so debris can work it's way out of timer button.
Keep a cover over timer, do not expose to direct hot sun, and do not expose to freezing water or inner plastic valves will break.
Buy another timer.

Gardena timers are difficult to identify because they are given 3 or 4 different model numbers for same timer.

Gardena site does not post manuals.
Anybody that has instruction manual in any language is invited to scan manual into file format and post instructions on flickr, then add a comment to this thread with link to flickr.

I don't have a source of Gardena parts, and have asked anyone finding this thread to add a comment if they find a Gardena parts source.
Compounding the problem is the company doesn't respond to e-mail requests, many Gardena products do not have on-line manuals, and Garden timers sometimes have more than three different numbers for the same timer making it difficult to identify exact timer.

Gardena website does not have program-operation manuals, and their contact page does not contact the company last time I tried. And the manuals search does not recognize the product numbers they show in catalog April 2011. But you can try.

Gardena timer is not identified.
Most water timers use 9Volt battery, but Gardena timers have up to three different model numbers for each timer.
